Dad's parents were Jessie Leora Rains Price and Joseph "Joe" William Price.   They were our paternal grandparents. They are buried in Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada, OK. Dad's siblings were Wendell Joseph Price  (family pictures click here) buried in Highland Cemetery, Stonewall OK, Thelma Price Chambers buried in Chowchilla Cemetery, Chowchilla, CA, and Gertie Lee Price Long buried in Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada, OK.

Children that died before adulthood were Condon Price buried in Letitia Cemetery in Letitia, Comanche Co. near Lawton in Oklahoma; Mary Nell Price  and Eunice Price  were also said by Henry Rains to be buried there, but no confirmation of that could be made and the girls could not be found in  any other cemetery searches in OK.  For the present time, I have their memorial pages listed as Letitia Cemetery until something to the contrary emerges.

Joe Price's father was named Homer. Joe's mother's name was Libbie.  He had two brothers Harvey and John Price. They lived in Corning, NY in Steuben Co. 

Homer's parents were John and Olive Price (Dad's paternal great grandparents).  Homer's siblings were Ella, Ada, and Anna.  In the 1870 NY census, John was 35, Olive 28 and was a Canadian, Homer 12, Ada 11, Ella 7, and Anna 3.

It was reported by our dad Orval Price that Joe, his father, was put on an orphan train with his brother Harvey and they got off in Levelland, TX at the age of about 12.

Thomas Jefferson Rains and Sarah Elizabeth Ellen "Nellie" Nolen Rains of Maury Co., TN were the parents of Jessie Leora Rains Price (our father's mother).  They are buried in Duncan Municipal Cemetery, Duncan, OK.  Sarah "Nellie" died of myocarditis in Duncan, OK.

Sarah Elizabeth Ellen "Nellie" Nolen Rains parents were Thomas Nolen and Margarett Grimes Nolen, both of Tennessee. 

Martha A. Williams Rains, grandmother of Jessie Rains Price.

Married to Joseph "Joe" Luther Dunn Rains.  Martha is our great great grandmother.  She is buried in Duncan Municipal Cemetery, Duncan, OK.

My dad's uncle Henry Campbell Rains and aunt Lula M. Rains are buried in Resthaven Cemetery in Duncan, OK.  They are the parents of Barbara and Tom.  Henry's sister was our grandmother Jessie Leora Rains Price.  His parents were Thomas Jefferson Rains and Sarah Elizabeth Ellen "Nellie" Nolen Rains of Maury Co., TN.  To see a special page on Henry and Lula Rains click here.

William Jennings Bryant Rains brother of our grandmother Jessie Leora Rains Price.  Buried in Letitia Cemetery, Comanche Co. Oklahoma near Lawton.  His wife was Minnie Ethel Tate Rains also buried in Letitia Cemetery. 

Their children were Dorothy I., George, Maxine E., and Mary Oma Rains.

Bertie Nora Rains Barker, sister of our grandmother Jessie Leora Rains Price.  Buried in Old Velma Cemetery, Velma, OK in Stephens Co.  She was married to Riley B. Barker also buried in Old Velma Cemetery.
