Henry Campbell and Louella "Lula" Johnson Rains

Henry Rains was born April 7, 1907 in Cleburne, Johnson Co., TX.  He was the uncle of Orval Price, dad of Susan Files and Nancy Allen.

Thomas Jefferson Rains and Sarah Elizabeth Ellen "Nellie" Nolen of Maury Co., TN were the parents of Henry Rains. His siblings were: (1) Bertie Nora Rains Barker (buried in Velma, OK cemetery), (2) Willard Ernest Rains, (3) Thomas Jefferson Rains, Jr., (4) William Jennings Bryant Rains, and (5) Jessie Leora Rains Price (paternal grandmother of Nancy Allen and Susan Files).
 

The first school he attended was Prosperity School that was about 3 miles west and 1 mile south of Hulen, Comanche Co., OK.  His family moved to Duncan in Comanche Co. in 1916 and he attended Duncan High School.  He worked many years and retired from Halliburton in Duncan.  He died on Aug. 19, 1999 in Duncan, Stephens Co., OK. 

Lula was born March 30, 1914 Stephenville, TX to Charles A. and Ollie M. Johnson.  Lula and Henry married on Oct. 15, 1932 in Duncan. OK.  They had 2 children Barbara Rains Mooney and Thomas "Tom" Henry Rains.  Barbara was married to William "Bill" Forrest. Mooney, Jr. Dec, 18, 1954 and Tom was married to Martha Kathryn McDiniel about 1962.  Barbara and Bill had no children.  Tom and Martha had 2 children and 6 grandchildren in 2004.

They were members of the First Baptist Church in Duncan for many years (Lula for 68 years).

Henry and Lula were buried in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Duncan, OK.
